There’s been a lot of talk about shiny object syndrome in SEO. There’s always a new tool. There’s always a new method, but nothing actually really changes.
SEO is still all about authority. It’s still about quality and reputation. But sometimes a shiny new toy does come along that is really cool.
Like the metal thing in this video, which isn’t an SEO tool. It’s very shiny. Oh! So I’m going to investigate it. Looks good, looks good, looks pretty, looks shiny. But I don’t know what it does. So I’m not going to pay on a subscription model for it.
I’m going to admire it for a moment and walk away. Maybe the next shiny object will be the one that solves all my SEO problems.
What’s the point of this video?
There isn’t one.
