How do I SEO my website? Well, you don’t really ‘do an SEO’. It’s not like flicking a switch. But if you’ve never done SEO before, you can SEO your website without any tools, without any skills.
Just look at it and think, if somebody, in this case Google, was looking at this for the first time, would they understand what it’s about?
- Would the navigation clearly explain what’s going on?
- Can people find what they need?
- Have I written enough about the topics I want Google to rank this website for?
So how do you do an SEO on a website? Just look at it objectively and try and figure out, would Google understand what’s going on here?
Now, how Google understands what’s going on here is a whole other matter and it’s a topic for another video. But for now, if you’re brand new to SEO, just look at your website and think, would someone visiting for the first time understand what’s going on here?
